Does Laser Tattoo Removal Hurt?
There is some discomfort involved in laser tattoo removal treatment, though the level of discomfort varies depending on the area of the body being treated and the skin sensitivity of the individual patient. The sensation is commonly compared to the feeling of pops of hot bacon grease hitting your skin or being snapped by a rubber band. Dr. Rueckl goes to great lengths to ensure that his patients are comfortable during treatment. Both topical and local anesthetic are available and can be applied before treatment to minimize discomfort and make laser treatment virtually painless.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The exact number of laser treatments needed varies depending on the size, age, depth, and complexity of the tattoo. Homemade or amateur tattoos respond more quickly to treatment than professional tattoos. Fox example, amateur tattoos can often be removed in as few as 1 or 2 treatments, while professional tattoos may take 6 – 10 or more treatments to achieve maximum results.
What Can I Expect After Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment?
Laser removal is usually performed in intervals spaced at least 4-6 weeks apart to allow the area to heal between treatments. Immediately following treatment, the laser treated skin will look white. This is soon replaced by redness and then scabbing. It is important to keep the treated area moist and protected from the sun as it heals.
How Much Will it Cost?
½ business card size or smaller (1.75″ x 2″) – $150 per treatment
½ business card to business card (up to 3.5” x 2”) – $300 per treatment
business card to ¼ page (up to 4.5” x 5.5”) – $500 per treatment
Above that will need a consult and price in the office.
– the number of colors do not matter – we do not up-charge for each color
– topical numbing cream and numbing blocks will be included for all procedures – “comfort included”

How Long Before I Can Get a Tan and What Kind of Aftercare Should I Do?
It’s very important to keep the treated area moist and protected from the sun as it heals, so please refrain from sitting in the sun or using a tanning bed.
It is recommended to do these as a series. 3 treatments should get your significantly lighter, and easier to be covered with a new tattoo. 6 treatments will yield much better results and your tattoo should be as close to removed as possible.
For patients who elect packages of 6 treatments and prepay in full for a package, 20% will be taken off the price.
